and education: Changzhou is famous for
its long history and rich culture. People
in Changzhou have a profound cultural background
and are well-educated. Changzhou has a comparably
complete education system, owing 178 middle
schools (including 46 senior middle schools,
132 junior middle schools) and 61 middle
professional technological institutes,18
technological colleges,14 three-year professional
colleges and 4 full-time universities of
higher education.

Resource: At present, the number of
universities and their enrollment in Jiangsu
Province ranks the first in China. There
are 67 universities in Jiangsu province
with the total enrollment of 232,800 students
among which 158,000 students are majoring
in science, 12,000 students are studying
for postgraduates. Every year, there are
around 58,000 graduates from colleges and
universities in Jiangsu Province.
Every year, Changzhou has nearly 5,000 graduates
from colleges & universities and about
2,200 graduates from part-time programs.

50 of them are in Shanghai, 36 in Zhejiang
